Sadly I confess I am still a "Support noob"... but here's an idea... try to remember that support can't run as far as you.  (That's why you stop when your support guy say's he needs a ride!)  I try to take care of the guys on my squad, so make sure you join a squad and that it has a support noob.  That way you can talk to him directly instead of just clicking on the need ammo.  That's great someone needs ammo again... well, where the heck are you?  Half the time I hear ammo requests and look on my HUD and you're no where near me.  Also... if I'm in a fire fight you're SOL.  I can't help you if I'm dead.

And as a sniper you need to remind the "noobs" that they can't just run up to you and give your position away.  If you're laying on the ground, I know I need to crawl up to you.  Hold the bag out until you're full, then leave a spare.  Heck a noob might even get 2 pts from 1 team mate.  BUT THEY'RE NEVER GOING TO LEARN BECAUSE YOU JUST THINK THEY'RE A DUMB NOOB AND YOU DON'T GIVE THEM POINTERS.

And if I'm holding the bag out DON'T RUN AWAY FROM ME... I CAN'T KEEP UP!

Snipers are there for support??! come on, be honest, I play exclusively 64 servers and snipers are laughed at as teamworkers...pfft! They USE the other players and say they are a teammember, many times you see them behind you sniping one guy as you get three or four, because any good sniper knows if they get close they are dead, hell I'll take any gun besides a pistol any day.  And why do snipers think they are the greatest thing. Its like a spoiled rich step-child that always get thier way and they think they are better than everyone else. Its funny when they take a kill when someone of thier own team already had them down to 4 bars, and then they yell 'pwned' . Snipers, I think are kids that think they are good, I've only seen one good/great sniper - he didnt lay clays and didnt' bunny-hop.

I snipe..used to... I only snipe when my head is turned and count to three then push the button, or when Im eating, I can snipe with one hand, to me its boring.

I was going to say the exact same thing. Someone should sticky this guide because it's perfect.

Snipers can make a difference, i've  helped my team so many times when i'm walking point with my mates behind me, like i allready said many depends on the team, sometimes i have a team who realy spawns on the squadleader and other times i have a team tht spawns all over the map....

and how about supporting the team by capping or defending flags....

and for the support guy, yes, i do call for em and yes i will run towards em and no, i don't mind support nubies giving away my position, rather spotted then without ammo.....

I never liked being a sniper to begin with, I couldn't hit anything and was always team killing with claymores, thought it was a waste of time.  Then i wanted all my badges, so i had to become a sniper for a while.

Now I've found it to be the best class ever, tackticle placement of claymores and a nice spot then you can have a hand free to have a drink, scratch your nose, get that annoying fly off the screen, do your ironing, whatever. Its like having a hands free kit for battlefield.....

Just need to find my girlfriend something to do while i play, tryed the ironing but she cant iron anything, thats why i snipe while i iron....

If anyones got any ideas of what to do with your girlfriend while playing battlefield i would like to hear them...

Nah, Seen it many times... I was 2 when it first came out... *whoosh* prick.

Like I have said before.......

A team full of snipers = Fail
A team with a couple snipers in strategic locations = Win

If you have a bunch of snipers running around the map, your team will not succeed, especially in Infantry Only play.

As I'm not reading 3 pages on how much snipers really own and how disguising yourself as a rhododendron is actually a valid play style I'll simply say,
