lemme guess, you're at the south dock, you and that soon to be dead sniper lock eyes, there's a moment. and then he shoots you. you say to yourself "oh yeah, I'll give you something to stare at.", and becuase most snipers are stupid, he doesn't move. you know where he is and you wanna cap a sweet shot with fraps. You spawn at the carrier, hop a boat to the arty island, and proceed to show him exactly how mad your skillz really are. you spot in the direction of the South Dock crane, and there he is, still laying prone in the corner. you get a range and adjust for bullet drop. I applaud the effort.

or...

the guy you shot was a buddy on teamspeak, spotting your shots, telling you how to adjust.

or....

a dead teammate ghosted the target, spotting your shots, telling you how to adjust.

If you are a squadleader you can set waypoints like Move To. If you put one on the spot where your mark is than you can read the distance by using Alt (if you use deafault key settings that is).
