OK well the specs in my sig i havent got the card yet. so i was wondering what would happen if i ran SLI with a 7950GT and a 7950Gx2 they are the same card but one is just 2 of em put to geather so would that work. and if i ran SLI with 2 7950GT's would that be like having 1 GX2??? thank u guys
You cant run a 7950GT with a 7950GX2 in SLi. The cards must be the same model (7950GT + 7950GT) or (7950GX2 +7950GX2), but the cards themselves don't have to come from the same manufacturer. You could buy an XFX 7950GX2 and a EVGA 7950GX2 and they should work. Nvidias updated drivers allow different cards from different manufaturers to work with each other but they must be the same card model.
if you do do sli with either of them make sure you under clock by at least 15% otherwise the cards cant run it and the cards cores just kinda blow up or melt and you have to worthless pieces of crap
SLI = Overkill. Don't waste the money.
