It is very frustrating not being able to to press Q and spot a mine or a claymore to your teamates when they are running into it. I think this should be placed in the game as an option.

What do you think?

I still don't know why the people still go near them when they see a friggin' SKULL AND CROSSBONES! THAT IS NEVER, EVER A GOOD SIGN! Even worse is when you go around one of them and your dumbass teammate detonates something, thereby killing the both of you.

HEEEEEELLL yes.  Sure there are skull & crossbones but sometimes you're looking on the horizon for your enemy and miss that symbol.  Hearing a quick "Claymore spotted" from a nearby teammate would be AWESOME.  Same goes for mines.

They had that sort of thing in ET. You spot a mine and everyone on your team knows about it.

If you look in the sound files, there is already a sound wav for "enemy mine fields". Wouldn't be hard to impliment.

Also in the localization files, there are various messages like:

"Enemy mines spotted",
"We have encountered mines, over" ,
"Fall back!",
"Abandon Ship",
"Drop back! Pull out!" &
"They're blowin' us away! Retreat!"

...theres even one that says "We're getting wasted! Fall back!"

Part of that (the audio version) was used in the intro, where near the end the USMC AT guy says "we're getting wasted!" right before the Chinese guy with a machine gun comes up the stairs and shoots him.

i would like the map to show all friendly ata and claymores and to be able to spot enemy ata and cleymores so others can avoid them, course i would like to be a general too so guess it is just wishful thinking

And sound wavs for when an enemy grenade is seen, flashing, when you're low on ammo bags and med kits, locking on to an enemy jet in a jet, fireing air-to-air in a jet etc. Flashing can be heard in SF, but not in BF2, but the sound files are there.

What do you mean by "flashing"?
That would be sweet... usually if i see a claymore, and i have some buddies with me, I'll jump up and down, yelling NEGATIVE and I'll pop off a few rounds down at the clay/mine

How about using your friggin' coma and asking for "need and engineer at this postion".  It's there if you look.  You even get a nice smoke plume to warn all of your team members of something to be aware of.

Better than doing nothing, but the smoke plumes and signals only work for your squad mates.
