Yey first Topic in this section.

Well so far i am not really liking 2142. For one thing, the soliders can only sprint short distances! I mean are they trained soliders or peoples old dads?

The vehicles are underpowered, they have a stupid way of movement, and the fact that all the guns overheat far too quickly! I mean it is the future and they must have spent a lot of money developing these weapons yet they overheat all the time! FTW!!!

just my two pennies...

but still that kinda sucks. I know there are still loads of features of the game which i have not tried out yet, so i will still be buying the game. But I do feel that it is not going to be AS good as BF2. This is mainly because people can relate to BF2 better, the weapons, the characters, the terrain, the buildings are all familiar things. In 2142 everything just seems very strange.

IMO this won't be much of a problem - look at all the sci-fi games out there that have become incredibly popular. Even though they didn't have a semi-realistic, modern-time predecessor, I still think there are enough people who are willing to accept this and play BF2142.

Yay it is the future but they still had the same developing team so they only advanced couple of years in the future instead of 136 years lol.

Simply put, a lot of the "problems" people are having are things which EA/DICE have underpowered to balance things. For instance, a real soldier could probably sprint for a hundred yards, and then have to rest for 15 minutes, but do you want that in a game?
