Who will be playing Assault?

So, who here - judging from the demo or beta - will be playing Assault in 2142, and what unlocks are you going to get first? I probably am. I'm probably going to - probably - get the Baur tree, with the rocket launcher. And I'm going to use it at long range. So there wouldn't be a possibility of me running up to you and tubing you, even if the game allowed it.

So, anyone else?

Probably head down the medic tree first, then the Heavy machine gun option for support. The high powered engineer anti-vehicle rifle is too tempting though .

Personally I'm all about the Voss, so it's the right hand side for me, though the Buar is a nice gun, does plenty of damage and a decent player can do well with it, or atleast they could in the beta.

EDIT: I'm undecided. I'd have to see a couple things in action before deciding.

ex. if smoke is as useless in the future as it is in BF2, then I won't even bother unlocking it for the medic tree.

I don't have the luxury to have been one to have played the betas

Grenades (for all kits!) then 'paddles and other stuff.

Generally I shall try to get all kits to BF2-standard equipment (e.g. claymores and mines) before unlocking weapons.

Well I used the Baur and Voss alittle in the beta2 and I prefer the Baur. The grenades should be, no matter what your first unlock, next sprint boost unless you really want to start a tree.

In the beta i got the assault kits, the voss is kew but i liked the baur more... it packs quite a punch... but i think im gonna go recon for my first unlocks (besides nades ofcourse... a MUST for titan battles) but i didnt use the recon carbine... can anybody tell me kinda how it handles? very curious

First shocky paddles, second grenades, third a buncha engy/stamina stuff, and then I get back to assault.

Adv. M-Hub, underbarrel shotty, Net-Bat upgrade, underbarrel rockets, smoke grenades, then whatever unlock guns are nice.

And I don't think the underbarrel rockets are the best long-range.

Mm, after watching that 2142 intro video, that H-AVR looks really, really tempting again...

I guess I'll get the Baur then the H-AVR, then alternate between the two kits.
