BF2S Forums problems with installing 2142 demo

i installed the demo, tried it twice now, but when i open it i get the same message " Application failed to start because *random letters and numbers* file was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem"

i searched and didnt find anything about this so my apologies if theres a topic on this already

anyone able to help me out?
