Could you please write down, accurately everything that is written on the screen.
This would help soo much, just saying you have  BSOD means nothing lolz.
Maybe I can help then.

Did you instal new software or browsed the web without a firewall?
You need to describe what you have done or people probably can't help you.

Yes, when you BSOD, it told you why the computer shut itself down to prevent damage.

That message will be quite helpful.

ok my bsod message reads as such " a problem has been detected and windows had been shut down to prevent further damage to your computer. if this is your first time youve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer (tried that) if this screen appears again, follow these steps: disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your harddrive configuration and check for any updated drivers. run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and restart your computer (cant get onto windows, so cant do any of that..)

technical information:

***STOP: 0x000000024 (0x00190203, 0x86722848, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000)

" any ideas?

Where does it get to before you BSOD.
Does it actually do any of the BIOS related startup section, then get to the windows loading bit and crash, or is it straight >Power ON > BSOD ?

Boot in safe mode?

That should let you get into your login on Windows.

SP2 = service pack 2 (a big microsoft update)

NTFS = new technology file system. Heard of FAT? NTFS is the new way a computer "reads and write" to a hard drive. Did you recently format your hard drive?
FatherTed

+3,936|6952|so randum

Well, if you don't want to do what other people have suggested, and what is probably the only thing that'll make your PC work, then you'll just have to do without a PC then.

Someone asks for help, then says "I don't want to do that"

lol dont be so quick to flame, i have taken every bit of advice ive been offered! ive seached around on google like one user posted, to no avail, and when one poster told me what he did (not what he advises) i said i cant really format my drive. Please dont flame on this topic, i actually want constructive help
