Boot your PC using your Windows XP CD. Follow the prompts until you see an option to repair using the Recovery Console.  This will take you to a command prompt where you can type "CHKDSK /R" - but without the quotes.

This will run the Windows hard drive file system checking utility and will *hopefully* allow you to boot into Windows once it's done.

Just be careful when you're booting to the windows CD, it's easy to balls everything up so if you are unsure at any stage of the process, don't proceed.

yeh fusion we do, but my mum says he would prob just clear the hard drive, so she says if i can find a better solution, then i can run with that, and i dont rely want the drive wipin
