I just got a new Samsung monitor which does 1680x1050 resolution. I am also running Windows Vista RC1. I am trying to get the game to run at said resolution but it isn't working for some reason.

I've done the shortcut tricks of +szx +szy but the resolution stays the same as the last setting I used in the video options. I'm hoping this is not related to my choice of OS, but something tells me it just might be.

Is there any other way to force a different resolution in BF2 so I can play the game in all it's glory. I'd rather not have to run the game at 1280x1024 with my x1900xt card. I'm about to test the 2142 demo to see if I can make resolution changes there, we'll see. Kthxbye.

I tried with mine XPS.  I couldn't make it work.  I have to turn off the wide screen to put the game back into proportion.  I also had to turn down the a setting or two.   If you figure out how lemme know!

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

check in your card driver tab that that resolution is an authorised one for the driver set you are using..
