Could you not lay back on the extreme gaming stuff? ( I.E saitek illuminated keybaord, ultimate gaming case) and spend a bit more on your graphics card ( i.e buy a 7900 )

It's more his choice on that stuff, and plus, I think he just got a job, and his Grandparents agreed to buy his old PC, so that's more monies, so I think the 7900GT(X) may be on it's way...

But apart from the GFX card, is it a solid system?

did you forget the hard drive or do you have one already?  OS too unless you plan on using linux or Pirate windows.

I agree.

Overclockers do a very cheap MSI 7900 GTO. It runs a 7900 GTX core just underclocked a bit a 650MHz, for only £170, runs very quiet too, or so the reviews say. If you could stretch to that it would massively improve your system (I know it's twice the price, but the performance would be damn good).
