I have heard that if you purchase through the EA Downloader,  you have to open the downloader every 10 days to 'verify the game's license'.

Is this true, for those of you that used the EA downloader? Apparently it told you this before installation.

Thanks for any help.

Never heard of that. but, buying a game and having no disk to back it up, and only relying on the satanic EA downloader to help you in a reinstall is Either suicidally ballsy or perfectly idiotic. I praise your balls and/or your complete lack of logic.

You know you can back up the installation files once they are downloaded. Not saying one method (download vs. disc) is better than the other. But there are some definite benefits to going the download route. The biggest being you never have to worry about losing or damaging your disc and not being able to play.
