Maybe some system specs would help also?

If it was working before and recently started giving you this problem, then you probably have a virus or something else on your computer that it causing the problem. Get a spyware detector (AdAware is free) and an anti-virus program and run them both. A new CPU will help speed up the game, but that's not what is causing your problem.

Sorry, just read the part that said you reinstalled Windows. In that case, it sounds like you have hardware that's starting to fail. Post your system specs and how long you've had it.

If you're saying that BF2 DIDN'T take up 100% of your processor before but it is now then you should do the following:

1 - Verify that there are no viruses, spyware, etc. etc. on your compiter. This is unlikely since a virus won't cause another process to use 100% of the processor; it simply runs along side it and uses processing power pushing the usage to 100%. However, it never hurts to start with a "clean" computer.

2 - End all non-essential processes, especially any recently added. Please be advised that if you start ending processes without knowing what you are doing, it is possible to make the computer and Operating System act strangely.

3 - Defrag your hard drive (twice in a row if you are using the defragger that ships with Windows XP)

4 - Purge your pagefile (virtual memory file). Actually, I purge it at every Windows shutdown (a registry setting let's you do this automatically at shutdown). The shutdown will take about 2 minutes longer but I like to start with a fresh restart when I first bootup.

If these things don't help you may want to explore hardware issues including driver issues.

I reinstalled windows 2 times to realize that my new printers drivers fucked up my windows.
I'm absolutely sure for that.
Without drivers from the cd, printer dont work, hmmm...What should i do now...

Buy a new printer
Or you could download the latest drivers from the manufacturer website

Oh, everything is ok now, I installed just most important drivers from cd, and bf2 runs ok now.

That shouldnt be happening. My CPU is on the low end and I run BF2 medium-high 4x AA perfectly fine.
My CPU usage never rose above 15%, even on 64 man servers.

Hell i've gotten higher CPU usage amounts just browsing the internet.

Same Problem...
But I have the solution (maybe;)):

Delete the Profile "0001" or whatever on C:\owndata
and copy the Video/Audio/Controls-datas and paste it after a start of battlefield (with a login)

it has worked...

best advice I've seen so far is get a new CPU, but if everything else is running fine then your cut, no more bf2 for you rofl
