LMAO.

Pretty much.
Me and my pistol may go exploring about, to discover what goes bump in the night.
My (ex-Army) redheaded wife, with our little girl next to her...  she is another story.
Get past me, and she will be significantly better armed, significantly more irritable, and significantly more likely to start putting gobs of fast moving metal in the air.

I took the G21SF, USP, and 1911 out shooting this morning. G21 destroyed them both.

Last time we shot a handful of pistols, was HK USP 45, Kimber 1911, older (1989?) FN HiPower 9mm, Glock .45, Beretta M9 (model 92), and a few others.

For me:
HiPower, as always, is the most repeatable, consistent, comfortable pistol I've ever shot. Natural Point of Aim - this pistol defines it.

Kimber 1911 (very customized), was the most accurate - out to 85-100 yards, even. Took more effort to get a consistent grip than the HP though.

Beretta M9.  Feels like it's exactly in between the HP and 1911 in all respects.  accuracy, repeatability, overall feel are all like it's the middle ground between a 1911 and HP

HK USP .45 - 30 yards, 30 rounds, 2 magazine changes, 20-22 seconds , all onto a 6" diameter steel target.  Thumb-over-thumb, both eyes open, sights in line with dominant (right) eye.  firing 230gr 925fps HP rounds, not panzy-puff underloaded 'match' ammo.  Trigger pull better than Glock or M9, even with HP, a touch worse than the custom 1911.

Glock .45 - grip feels like a brick in your hands, non repeatable reflexive point-of-aim, crappy trigger pull, no hammer - no SA option, no rail for a laser/flashlight. (Note: older Glock .45, not the new SF with the built-in 1913 rail)

Some people love their Glocks.  Personally, I think they're a case study in why chemical engineers shouldn't design firearms.
If it works for you, great.  I wouldn't own a Glock if it was given to me - Sell it to feed my HK with ammo.

love the HK, even though i shoot better with glocks. i'm sure with a lot more shooting time with it, i'll be good to go. i do like the SA on it a lot. very well made. it's the bmw of my collection.

all nice and clean. oh and fuck hogue grips. i was shooting about 3-4 inches low with it on, took it off and was dead center. same thing happened when i had one on the G17.

Very nice.
Same date code as mine, about 1000 off on the serial number (25-127XXX).
Traded my old one in for a new one with an "AK" (09) date code.
From Alaska (AK), so... It was icing on the cake, so to speak

And here I thought I was walking into a debate with one of the Glock True Believers.

Glad I was mistaken on that point.

Forgive my Assumption, I know a few people that are fanboy religious regarding the Glock brand.

Interesting to know. This is the general issue pistol for the ADF and I'll be using it soonish.

Should be fun

Aren't the only "official" (military/police) use of the Colt1911 those veterans who used it back in the day and have loved it ever since?

Fairly certain its still in official use in the Army and FBI, it's just not the most common pistol.

I imagine it's heavier than more modern counterparts?

But far cooler than a Beretta 92 no doubt

There's nothing special about Sigs apart quality of manufacture - design and ergonomics are lacking.

Well... Form is important in many other things tbh...

You care about how your car / house / * looks don't you?

Why wouldn't some people care how their guns look...
