Hi

I have just ordered the new G7 wireless gaming mouse from www.ebuyer.com

I have been using my old Logitech MX700 cordless and I find my sniping accuracy is really off. I find I have the guys brain dead in my sights and when I fire I either miss him, hit him but not kill him or the gun doesn't go off. Its a real pain cause by this time he knows my position and fires off a round and bingo am floating to heaven without my redbull. If anyone out there has a G7 (am sure many of you will) please let me know how it performs and will it make any difference to my accuracy in the game.

My new mouse comes next Friday so I will take note of my kills/shots fired ratio and compare this with similiar rounds fired using my new G7 Carbon. I must say its expensive for a mouse around £70 thats about $120USD. I have begged my girlfriend for a new Logitech Gaming G15 keyboard for my birthday in December so here's hoping she takes the hint.

Oh and any good sniping pointer would help too, thanks Soldiers and I'll be sure to post my review of the G7 here soon.

Odds are your mouse wont make a difference. I know people with ball mice who own and I myself use a optical mouse. While sometimes i find the lack of sensitivity lacking for the most part its fine.

But really I wouldn't go wireless for gaming but that's just personal preference. Even if you are, why not use a wired optical mouse for backup?

if u want get locitech i suggest get a g5 i think it is faster moving data because of wire then non-wireless laser mouses just cant do it and have problems to jam expesially on logitech mouses l ,i think g5 and razor don´t make real diffrence only by how it fell on your hand , razor is cheaper though

Yeah lol, I think a mouse only makes a difference if you're SUCH a good player you play by pixels. I use a TracPad and I do just fine. 90% of my deaths are from getting raped on Karkand.

Yes, sir, it will. I have a g15, g5, and a corepad manga. Ive even replaced my mouse pads to 'skates' mouse pads. almost every positive boost you can get will help you.

I got a G7. Then I went back to my MX700 because #1, its heavier. #2, its heavier. and #3, its not going to break from simply using it a lot because.. its heavier.

My G7's left button started to go out after about a month. Also I enjoy having the 2nd thumb button. One for Ventrilo, one for VOIP.

Variable sensitivity will make you a better player, don't listen to these fools. The mouse might not make a difference, but this awesome addition surely will. I have my settings so that at the lowest DPI, I can move the mouse 1px at a time easily. There's no way to miss as sniper like this. You'll realize why you've missed some "easy" shots before when you notice the difference of 1px to the left/right of the head. Then when I stand up, I just go back to higher sensitivity and can be quick and nimble.

Well i personally dont like any cordless mouse because i know what can screw me up in game. Low battery, other frequncies interefering, and not exact speed you might get froma corded one.

i hope you know about bullet drop. after about 100m you have to aim a few pixels above where you want to hit (ie dont just point the gun at the guys head point it a lil above his head). if you have friend try this out on an empty server running gulf of oman or zatar wetlands (not all maps hve the same view range). using this technique any sniper rifle can get you a headshot at 200m if you are prone i think. the m24 and l96 should reach 300-400m i think since they are twice as acurate.

Wireless mice are horrible, Since changing to a G5 my aim is much better. Don't get a wireless mouse unless you want to die a lot.

My 6600 must really suck if you can see people beyond 200 meters.

Thanks for those mixed opinions guys, as always most welcoming. I'll have to wait until Friday 27/10/2006 to test out my new G7. Am sure it will perform better than my old cordless MX700. I do agree the mouse may not make me a better player right away obviously there will be a lead in time, the time it takes for me to settle in and feel comfortable.

Anyway will let you all know how it goes

Oh and I ordered the G15 Gaming Keyboard too, keyboard looks huge. Just one question does GamePanel work in BF2?

QF almost complete T. MX510 or MX518 would be my preference, I like 2 thumb buttons.
