Hi, I have spend some time searching for an answer to my question...without result.

Ok, here are the questions:

1. How does the medal count work?
2. Is it influenced by the number of rounds played on each map?
3. Does only the last round per map count? Or the overall point earned on one map?

Backgound: there have been rounds where I was among the Top-3-Players but I didn't get the medal(s). This was always the case on servers with more than one round per map. An example: in the first round I qualified for bronze, next round silver, last round made it number 10.

In case that I've missed a thread where information in this topic is given i would be happy if you post the link to this thread as an answer.

Thanks.

I think command points are not shown on the tables, therefore if a commander does well. He may pip you to a medal.

if u play for more than 1 round, the last round is the one that determines whether u get a medal or not (i think)

Nope - If you play 3 rounds, and come first all 3, you are entitled to 3 gold medals.

What you have to be careful of is the commander gets a x2 bonus if his team wins... I've lost a medal COUNTLESS times due to this.

Another question bout medals:
if two guys has the same amount of points, which one will have the better result?
e.g.:

Mr. X:                          Mr Y:
Kills: 12                       Kills: 8
Teamwork: 26              Teamwork: 34
Deaths: 8                     Deaths: 15
Total Points: 50             Total Points: 50

In this case what will decide the better placement?

It would be Mr. X because he has more kills and less deaths.

I had somebody tied with me in kills and teamwork (and total score), but I had 1 more death then him so he got the gold star.

You need to read the FAQ. It's a main link all the way at the top.

Yeah, that's true, every round gets you another star, otherwise you would have to be 3 times in a row #1 to get a star (actually it's not a medal but a star).
Also one thing I almost always seem to miss, is the fact that at the end of the round where all scores are diplalyed and I recalculate if I should have gotten a star, the commander of the losing team gets no 2x score but he still may have enough score to beat you to a star and both commanders are not listed among  the other players, so it's easy to miss. Take a close look at the commander scroes of both teams. And Combat Score (CS) and Kills count more than Teamwork Score (TS). So if you have 60 CS - 40 TS - 10 kills and another guy has 60 CS - 00 TS - 30 kills, then he will be considered better than you. I don't like this kind of calculation EA does there, BF2 is a team based FPS not a pure frag game, but on second thought if TS would count more than CS/kills everyone would be playing as a medic

Thanks for all your answers. The Commander-Point option is one I haven't thought of yet. I'll take a closer look at the results

Thx
