in my pc i have a 7950gx2 1024mb, when i type dxdiag in the run box and click on display tab it says Approx total memory:   512mb ?? is this right i know ts kinda like 2 boards stuck 2gether but shouldnt it say 1024mb

I know that each core has 512 MBs allocated to it.  That's prolly why it says that cuz it only shows how much memory there is for one core.  That's my guess.

Does it list 2 displays in the diagnostic window?
There is a way to check and see if the card is supported by the motherboard. You need to go to the control panel, administrative tools and click on computer management. In the computer management window, click on the device manager. When you click on the device manager a list of all devices in your computer will show up. In that list, double click on Display Adapters and it should list two NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2's. If only one is listed then you bios on your motherboard might be out of date and you will need to update to the latest bios to see both cards.

There you go then they are both there and should be working.
