Hi there,

bought BF2142 yesterday. And guess what, after half an hour I had my first crash to desktop. And there is no simple workaround like in BF2, where you had to chek that tiny little box "automaticly join server when ready", simply because that chekbox is gone in BF2142. So I will have to live with constant crashes until Dice finds a solution.

Besides that, the ranking system doesn't work correctly. I had several promotions ingame, alond with about five or six badges. Guess what, no ranking up at the and of the round and all badges were gone too.

I'm a little bit dissappointed, because the game itself is fun. But Dice hasn't learned from the past and the old BF2-bugs are back again.

Yeah, I know what ya mean, I installed it and patched it...still can't believe there's a patch after only one day...watched the opening and right after the movie finished it crashed, I couldn't believe it crashed after a movie, that's insane. Other than that I don't really recall any problems, I don't like having to wait for the support guns to stabilize before I can shoot accuratley, they seem like they take too damn long in my opinion. Also my stats haven't updated either but I haven't checked in a few hours, I saw on the little ticker there on the bottom of the game screen that they're having trouble with the stats update system, I guess they couldn't handle all of the traffic at once, hopefully they'll get it sorted out rather quickly, all we can do is hold in there and keep playing.

1. CTD only happen to me ONCE and I played the entire day.

2. BF2 had the same friking problem with ranking when they released it so dont complain.

De guns are fine I don't want the supportgun to get better aim faster because their guns will shoot better you more you shoot.

And don't click to fast that might be the problem with CTD, wait a few seconds before you click. And you other give some help or leave

Is it really worth it?  It honestly doesnt look that fun...

It is not very fun the first day or two.  I was so hooked on infantry only warlord in BF2:SF that when I got to 2142 the tanks and such ticked me off.  Also there are a lot of changes in the ways that you earn points.  Now that i've got 15 hours or so played I'm really enjoying it and not even touching BF2 anymore.  Last -- if you don't have a good squad -- the game is horrible....so very horrible

From what ive seen on my own and heard, Im not buying it.  Bf2 is teh win, see you all when the bf2142 era is over

Least now Ea and Dice will be influenced by the whiners of 2142, and not bf2, woot, no more buttfucking patches for bf2.  I can play in peace!
