Do I need something before I install patch?

I downloaded the 1.4 Full Patch off http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/downloads.jsp (first download link on page). I don't have any other Battlefield 2 files on my computer, just that one now. It gives me that "Can't find install folder for battlefield 2" message after I choose a language. Does anyone know if I need to download another file before I can install this game? Or does anyone know how to fix my problem? Thank you.

Did you install BF2 in another directory?

Which other directory? Before I downloaded that patch from the site, it asked me to save it somewhere. So I created a Battlefield 2 folder..?

Did you install Battlefield 2 to your computer?

If you did, then did you install it under another directory other then the default directory?

All I have on my computer is that 530MB file named BF2_Patch_1.4
