Well, I've tried patching to v1.01 but whenever I do, it always says in-game that I haven't patched. I've actually patched about 3 or 4 times.. any ideas?

Have you tried rebooting yet? This has helped alot of people.
I'm assuming you installed while the game was running?
Whatever the cause, you need to reinstall, install patch (while game is closed), reboot. Then it will work.

It actually started working.. not sure why.
