you sir are a moron. this is not art. there is no reason that it is. yes, one could argue that "everything" is art, and to an extent. but its definitely not a fine art, its nothing. there is nothing here to be art. like the article said its really more psychology than anything else. how can it be art if there is nothing there to be. sure, art is an idea, but it requires representation in a physical form to stand for proof of that idea. but this is an empty gallery and nothing more. and going through remembering what was there before? do that at home and save your money.
What do you define as 'fine arts'. That is the main question. That is the issue here, we all have our different taste considering art.

No need to get all up-close and personal about it.

"fine art" would be traditional art forms. like painting for example. graphic design and time based media are examples of art forms that are not "fine art"

Hello 1927! when i seen this on the news i just thought "WTF!!!" i mean... its an empty room.. dont care if it's art... still doesnt change the fact that it's an empty room. reminds me of that song somebody did... it was just silence... i'm pretty sure i said "wtf" when i heard it... but then i didnt hear it... it was silence.... or did i hear it... who knows

i can just imagine going to see this... and some crazy person "OMG!!! LOOK AT THE ART IT'S AMAZING" and me standin there clueless lookin around "err.. where?"

The worlds gone nuts, the Uk's gone nuts, I'm going nuts. As mentioned this artist got paid money/funding to do this. Even if it cost us (the taxpayer) £250, thats £250 less to spend on a worthy cause for eg, new footballs for the local youth club.

It's just wrong, the whole principale of it. I got no objections if its funded by the artist but I bet my mortgage it aint.

thanks.. sort of new.. i read the posts.. i dont acctually post.. but since this is so close to me i thought i'd voice my opinion since if i had money it would be paying for this crap....

the "artist" got payed ... thats sick... this is wales... (nothin wrong with our country) but i'd rather pay an artist to paint crazy colorful things on the walls in cardiff to make the place nicer to look at rather than a shite empty room...

screw him an "award-winning artist" doesnt deserve our money! i'd rather give it to younger artists... help people that need helping. i'd love a bit of funding to help me with my work... i'm a composer and it's so hard for young people workin with the arts to make money.. mr award-winning artist is probably rich enough to go to B&Q and buy white paint...

i just had a massive 2hr long arguement with my friend about wether the empty room is art... i say it's not.. he says it is... but we agreed... art or not.. it's crap and doesnt deserve our money lmfao
