I have seen a lot of people asking how to order your squad to attack, defend and move orders to what you want it to be. Well, here it is:

If you want your squad to attack/defend an outpost, right click the flag, and it will automaticly set it to defend or attack, depending on who's flag it is. If it is Nutral, you will order your squad to attack.

If you want your squad to move to the flag, without capping it (spawraping? ), right click just outside of the flag and click move.

Already knew...
If my squad leader doesn't know I just tell them VOIP.

Yeah, with so many new peeps everyday, it's not suprising that many, many players cannot satisfactorily operate the commo rose.

You only need to rightclick with the mouse buttom? If so that's new for me otherwise I just use the T buttom to Issue the order on the flag.

I posted this on an earlier thread but I will reiterate....
I knew how to do it but found out last night that it is a bit touchy (well it was for me).  Most of the time I clicked on a map, the only option I had was move.  If I kept clicking the map (and around it) I would eventually get Attack or Defend...  so for anyone who can't figure out how to get attack or defend when they use the squad map, just keep clicking on and around the flag spawn point until you get the action you want...

[rant]personally, if this is a problem for others besides me, I think it's lame that it is that sensitive.. I wasted valuable time trying to get the damn correct order issued... and a few times while I had the squad map up trying to set and attack or defend (because our commander wasnt' doing it), I ended up getting killed by troops advancing on the point I was about to set as a defend area...[/rant]

Aim on the flag until it gets a yellow frame and then set your command using the squad rose "t". 2142 automatically issues the best command.

Aim on the flag
no doubt that is probably the easiest way...

Aha, the in-game (aka non-map) way is to ain at the flag on the 3D map?  I keep aiming at the base of the silo.

On a side note, does it matter which command you use?  Say, it happens to be a defend order (from a failed defend attempt), does that mean that since it's an enemy flag you ge tno points?

On a similar note, do move orders not count towards the points either?  How do you issue attack orders to a titan?  From within it?

Here is something you might not know...

If you are commander on titan mode you can issue three new commands.
Under the squad bar right click on the coms link between the players listed in that squad.
It's one of the images...

You can issue all the regular commands found in BF2.
The three new ones appear in the voice of the titan.
"We need more people to attack their Titan!"
"We need more people to defend our Titan!"
"We need more people to attack on the Ground!"

Are these new commands to be issued to a squad, or is it just a voice emote, with no target (like the medic call).

It's an order to the Squad. You also say something like "Attack that cordinate" or "Defend this area/We are going over to defend here" and things like that.

You also get more points if you kill within those areas to. :3
