imo, they need to moved to be effective (so @least 1 silo can be defended with it) ... I've not seen any lag .. but i don't doubt it is possible .. like having 2 essex's in the sky.

I wouldn't have aggreed with you back in beta, but now I can't stand a titan that is moving while defending/attacking.  I spent many rounds last night on laggy titans and pretty much was committed to it being so frustrating to be in.  Then I played a round where the titan was not moving, and attacking and defending was never so much fun.

Symptoms of a moving titan:
-Often get very few updates, so the game lags me in a direction I was not pointing.  I had a great position in the vents, and walked straight 5 feet, when suddenly I got lagged and fell off.
-When you die, your view point floats in the opposite direction the titan is moving at about 10 MPH until it lands in a corner, where your camera usually shifts to under the floors.  If lucky, you can be rezzed way back where you first died.
-Trying to rez someone who died on the titan is impossible if you attempt it after about 5 seconds after death, as if it slides into a corner/wall, you have no chance of rezzing them (they get wedged in there so tight).
- not truly titan moving related, but disappearing kits on the titan are an annoyance too.

The lag isnt too bad for me inside a moving titan, it's the fact that shit falls through the floor and grenades drift mid-air into walls, earning you some nice punishes.

for me it isn't a concern of the game lagging, its when i'm in the titan and i want to revive someone that pisses me off... as of yet, i haven't experienced falling through the floor... but i have experienced moving an air transport into the core room and destroying it with the shields up >_>

Whats wrong with moving titans, i simply attempt to ram the other titan.

i don't think you can ram the titans... they just simply shift to the side then forward i think

maybe this has been said before

if a titan loses its shield it will automaticly move to the middle of the map

Some servers seems to be really unstable, While i have 10ping it lag a lot for on some server while other just goes fine. So its not about moving titans

SHOW SOME SELF CONTROL!! IF MOVING THE FUCKING TITAN MAKES YOU LAG GO PLAY CONQUEST!!
why am i going to let all those turrets go to waste, especially if the other team is using their's to cover some silos. i try to move it only once, but will reposition it if need be

haha interesting..

yea i would only move the titan when necessary, plus it isn't THAT beneficial apart from making it conveinent... which of course... air transports spawn like every 30 seconds...

I'll not stop moving it. It's part of attacking/defending.

Never had a problem with lag either

How can a moving Titan cause lag?  The damn thing is moving so slow.

its a coding problem, and lots of people are experiencing lag because of this...

The thing is, the titan is moving, but you are positioned according to the ground.  So corpses stay put (relative to the ground) but the titan moves, so corpses slide around...
Grenades have wierd flight paths, and moving gets jumpy...

i move the titan like much of the other commanders, to a stratigac posotion, wen winning the game i defend silos, when alls gone to shit i move it over water or rocky ground, i also go engineer wen commanding as you always get some player that insists on blowing up your turrets, i do get a little lag whilst inside trying to defend or attack, but not to bad.....................................................

It's pretty funny when you die and fall through the titan...  I wonder how such a big, tough, warship has invisible holes in it big enough for a body to fall through.
It's the dead wasted body dispenser similar to what commercial airlines have today in their lavatories. BOMBS AWAY!
"That was a good log drop there, mate. Square on his head!"
"Indubitably!"

It's just too bad that falling dead bodies can't kill!

Sounds like they need to use intertial dampening fields on the Titans.

Inertial Dampening Fields FTW!

For anyone that wants to have a little better idea of what's going on for many people (me included) is if you have played Special Forces and used one of the lifts or elevators (in Iron Gator, Night Flight and Surge) you will see that it gets all stuttery when going up. But now imagine instead of going vertically, the movement is horizontal.
