All,

As I was pondering the other day on ways to improve our gaming experiences. I came arcross the idea of a universal mounting kit for rear computer speakers. I myself have Klipsh 7.1 Surround speakers, I'm tired of having them placed so far away from me. So 'what if' I could make some sort of bracket, with retractable arms that could be fully adjustable that actually MOUNT to a computer chair. I think it would be so badass to have my speakers right behind me so my total position of sound can be fully customizable by... ME. I just wonder all of your opinions, what better way to try to think of something like this besides gamers? I know the idea has been thought of, albeit there isn't much of a market for it I've searched high and low for a chair/brackets to buy to my dismay I've found nothing.  Any type of input would be appreciated, positive or negative, thanks!

That would be immense, high quality speakers surrounding you would be great.

how about a speaker mount the comes from behind the monitor and bows over the head like a bow floor lamp.

here is a weak reference ...

You could start with one heavy base, and have all speaker stalks from from it .. maybe at the base have a slightly raised platform for subwoofer.

Great idea, I was thinking something on the lines of having it mounted to the chair so you could push the speakers back so they don't stick out when you're not using them. I'm pretty surpised to see so many responses so soon. I'm getting excited, I think I'm going to build a prototype

As far as best way to improve gaming, surround sound would be the best thing I have done.  I play a lot of WWII online.  With my new sound I can hear what direction the rifle shots are coming from, it adds a ton to the realism and immersion.  And a 6/7.1 are not very expensive.

I looked for the chair he had, that's a custom prop. The closest thing I can get to a pre-built gaming chair is a floor chair for console.
