lol, I've seen that picture in an ad for a supercharger.
The caption reads: "Supercharge anything!"

If you mod it to the extent where you are getting better or equal fuel economy with more power then you are leaning out your fuel mixture probably to the point of unsafe levels. With a standalone and closed loop O2 system you can probably regain cruise fuel economy but you cannot safely make more power without adding fuel into the combustion chamber (unless of course with some form of injection, be it water, alcohol, methonal, ethanol). With my RX-7 and Haltech E11v2, I can mimick stock fuel economy figures but as soon as I open it up, the gas needle will plunge.BigmacK wrote:
Actually, when you mod grocery getters the right way, you not only gain power, you get improved fuel mileage.
Running effecently does so much for an engine.

Yeah, but fun begins at WOT!BigmacK wrote:

Your right, but in my post, I was refering to cruise to load under light throttle for fuel economy. Sorry it wasn't clear enough.
Nice car by the way.

6 grand? I was thinking the $50-100 rangeBigmacK wrote:
It's a Powerdyne SilentDrive Belt Drive Supercharger. That puppy runs at 6 psi and has a custom fit, RAIS attached to it. Not bad for $6000.

Why modify FWD grocery getters at all? They will get worse gas mileage.
Thing is, that filter is re-usable and good for the remaining life of the car. They serve as the last filter you will ever buy.{uscm}Jyden wrote:
$80 for an air filter(filter surround) seems a bit stupid really.
Technically, I do. I'll take some pics in the daylight tomorrow, so expect some pics to come.Prodie wrote:
