Don't let it on you in the first place, or hit a tree that flies into the air.

never let them get behind you in the first place..always fly in rear view camera... practise flying with all angles on your own lan game by yourself... then take to the skys.. if you see a jet that looks like its gonna try an get on you... dont try an get behind it because most of the time hel get ya.. instead i just afterburn an fly straight up by the time they get on my tail im 500 feet above em an they have absolutely no clue

umm.. the same way you enter it. Press "E" (if you haven't remapped your keys). As the ground is rapidly closing in, remember to press "9" to open your parachute.

Was it that you were asking?

Or "how to evade missiles in a F35B-missile magnet?". If you asked the latter, the answer is: leave it on the carrier.

you don't lose the jet, you never get him on your tail in the first place.

http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=36576

getting a jet on your tail is, as to quote MCMT: "bad. very bad."

hmm.. I should update that guide sometime.. got plenty of stuff to add.

edit: holy crap that guide IS old. So much stuff I've learnt since then.. damn.. oh well it's got all the basic, all you need to know for now.

#1 thing in an F35B is to time your flares (if they get on your tail)

In other jets you need to try dodging the missles, not the enemy jet.  Once they run out of ammo, lose the jet or he will return for ammo, when he goes to get ammo, sneak up on him and gun him to death!

how exactly do you time your flares against a j10? rofl funniest thing ive heard all day whens last time uve been taking out by a f35 rofl like once of your 13 deaths in j10 rofl

go into flyby, wait till they are in flight and release the flares!  Easy, but dont forget to turn!

Any halfway decent J-10 pilot is gonna shoot down a F-35 if he gets on your tail..  Flares or not.....  If your ina J-10, Just turn and the missles will fly by.  Other jets..  Just takes time getting used too.

thanks specops but yes impaqt you are correct with that statement also
did they fix the eurofighter in 1.4? i played wake airshow and only way u could shoot one of those down was use mgs also now rockets actually hit it even when turning...

to excape a j10 when in an f35, fly to about 600+ altitude, while flaring only when ur facing up. by about 650 or so alt, u will be much fast and can usually escape them. if theyre not a pro, that is.

other than that, there are plenty of guides around that will tell u wat to do.

No, press it 800 times, then it will open.

Well, if its a j10 on your tail and he knows how to fly, youre fucked.  Go over the basics.
Periodically check the rear view, like everytime youre not attacking or shooting at something, which is quite often.  If you see a jet kind of coming near, pull high or low and move accordingly so that he will lose you.

Now, if youre in a 35 and a j10 is on your tail, get near an enemy base, use your flares, then if the lock goes away and he gets another lock, bail over the base and cap it.  Then make a assish insult at him telling him he blows your nuts because he couldnt take down a 35.

@ Drax, if youre in 600 altitude, youre at the point where you might stall.  Now, if you do stall, turn the engines off, and eventually your plane will float down and will turn nose down towards the ground, I usually turn the thrusters on again to fly away right when the ground comes into view.

If you do use the stall method to get away from a jet, its very effective, just make sure you dont do it near the edges of a map knowing you could fly out of bounds...

Its not even hard at all to take out a J-10 with the F-35, or to escape from it. Id say roughly 75% of the pilots that fly at Wake servers have no idea what on earth they are doing. First off, to escape them, as some said before would be to fly in rear view or fly by and hit the flares when the missiles are in the air, then going up to just below 800 feet and then resuming your flying. Thats the only way I can do it besides flying under bridges and such and hope they crash or at least lose missile lock on you. To shoot them down is the easier part. Most pilots don't seem to realize that they have MG's. They work and if used correctly can just tear apart a J-10. What I do is get behind an unsuspecting J-10 and wait for him to fly in a nice straight line, over an airfield or a bad bombing run. Once he starts flying straight, unload with the MG's (remembering bullet drop) and stay in bomb mode for maybe a second or so and then try to get a quick missile lock before they can react. Do all of this without letting of the MG's, as they don't overheat and you have a few hundred rounds. Then once you take out the J-10, you can just keep pwning the airfield and not letting them back in it.

Fly inverted. It makes missles become retarded.

I'm going to highly doubt that.

To evade the first wave of missles from a J-10 in the F-35B, just drop flares and do a barrel roll many many times.

Yes, and then after those many many barrel rolls and the flares go away, you do what now? You die. That's what. The object is to lose your opponent, not dodge 2 missiles, wait for your flares to become inneffective, then die.

No, because that buys you time to fly stright up so you can get to speeds of over 1000km/h and dissappear into the skies, then resume back to flying as usual.

Duh.
