- 1st account not reflecting your current skill level?
With the ammount of time I spent playing, it takes a long time to see things like KDR to rise etc. It just means a lot more in the end. I dont see the point in having multiple accounts anymore. I had a 2nd account back during day of release if I felt like sniping, and unlocked the m95 on it. Then again it was like 25,000 point increments for one unlock back then. It took a long time to get a lot of my awards, and I wouldn't have gotten a lot of them if I was jumping around accounts.
I recieved karma for this topic from "allmightyoz"

fucking fag its about fun not stats... oo look i have hella good stats in a computer game! - AllmightyOz

Fucking fag? Was that neccasary? I didnt see how fucking fag was such an important part of the karma.
Use some more mature language when your trying to make a point.
But let me ask you this, if BF2 had no stat system would you or half the people who still play, be playing?
I highly doubt they would. Darn kids have no respect for anything or anyone.
And I suppose those who care about there stats are fucking fags, I didnt know that, thanks for the information.

MOHAA keeps chugging along without any stats...and other games as well.reefl3x wrote:

I actually stopped caring about stats a long time ago and just play for fun. Do I suck? Yeah. Do I have fun most of the time? Definitely.
If you care about stats, cool...that's your fun. If you care about flying, cool...that's your fun. I like BF2 because it accommodates MOST people's options for fun...
Same. My SPM, KDR, and accuracy sucked. I've gotten my accuracy to a pretty decent level, and having a SPM of 2 or better in my mind is good so that shouldn't be too hard to reach, but everything else is 'meh', and will always stay that way. Maybe I suck a little, or maybe I'm unlucky.
My stats suck, with a K/D ratio of barely over .6, but I don't care. I still play for fun. It's a game, and it's amazing what people will do for recognition on an online forum.
You and the allmighty ignorant Oz seem to look alike. I'm not looking for recognition.T1g3r217 wrote:

I'm simply stating something that I have done. Nobody is forcing you to take my advice and start a new account, but if you do, good, maybe you'll stats will be worth even looking at.
I can agree on playing for fun, but with your stats, you have spent more time looking at the sky at the "you'll respawn in 15 seconds" than you have actually spent killing.
A games only fun when you do well. Dieing as much as you have isnt much fun.
Personally, I disagree, but I believe in freedom of speech. However, as we both agree, BF2 is but a game, and it is not worth getting into a firefight over a game.
my first account doesnt really show my skill. because battlefield 2 was the first battlefield i have ever played. so i had to learn the game completely. i was the prey. but ive played enough to raise my scores and KD ratios up, if you look at my history lol
i do understand both of you. stats, medals and stuff can be motivating on the one hand. these are the results of your "work". i'd kinda compare it to taking pictures in holidays. when you get home, you got something. you can hold it in your hands. you can reassure yourself. it's like: "yeah, that's me" that goes for some people.T1g3r217 wrote:

on the other hand there's folks who never taking pictures. them rely on the moment. and find it rather disturbing looking through a lense instead of diggin' it straight. yes, one surely can get obsessed by the mere "results" of his work.
anyway, basically we're all the same. we all want to have some fun. and yet it's often quite different how we're trying to achieve it
that's life m8s. and my 2 cents.

i know exactly where you're coming from on the accounts thing. I however, refused to fold and create a new one just to look good. I've made it my personal mission to see that i improve my stats to 2 for 1 KD on my main account no matter how long it takes, and after a serious four months at it, i've jumped from 1.54 to 1.93 without sacrificing my personal ethics by jet whoring, or tank whoring, or anything of that nature. I've been true ground pounding it without the help of the medic kit to do all the work for me.
In my book, when I DO care about a player, I judge them off of how they play. I have to play with them to judge them....
well i could careless about what people think of me the only reason i play the game is to have fun nothing more it feels good when i earn new badges and shit but thats not what its about and epople who always talk shit and say oh ur a noob and shit just talk so much trash because they simply have nothing better to do, because they have no life and waste it playing this game all day or 2 were born total asses. lol so yea i play for fun go ahead call me a noob at least im one of the people who is'nt all about stats.

That's my new rambo account. I'm a cold steel sonofabitch from djibouti. Wanted to go with something different.

I made an account just to STFU those people who say I suck.
5.5 KDR with 14 W/L and 67% accuracy.
I won't post it just to piss those people off more (If you care, then a simple google can find that account).
Btw, if anyone is interested, I am on USEast realm and I play DotA as well as 1v1 solo ladder. My ingame name is 'Nyte'. My record is currently 51-27 (51 wins and 27 losses) which beats 99% of the players on B.Net.
Alpha as fuck.
I sucked ass in the beginning also, and all of my friends were testing the game at my place, resulting of course in terrible stats....But so what???
I think it´s more fun now when you kind of make your account famous!!!!
Like joining a server and the opponents are like: "oh shit, it´s him again!!!!"
I like that, that means that you have achieved something!!!
I like that more than letting people see my crappy stats!!! I already have lots of names on my victim list, and they are growing all the time!!
My use my victim/enemy list to see how good I am, compare them and their skills and that gives me a better picture of the whole shit than my spm or kdr!!!

ahahahahahahah it's not uncommon for me to join a server and have a kickvote called on me before I even spawn with many calls of "foad hacker"Like joining a server and the opponents are like: "oh shit, it´s him again!!!!"
My stats sucks, since I like to have fun on the battlefield.
People WILL get bored, if they play karkand 24/7.
two types, statslovers or not statslovers

Main acc = 3.1something spm 2.1 kdr
2nd acc = 4.5 SPM / 4.5 KDR
I do prefer the main account as a few people can recognise me by name plus I like the shiny LT bar
