I think the point is that they didn't stop. I mean if a dog runs out in front of the car then you can't blame the driver for hitting it, but you can blame the driver for not stopping to see if it's OK/dead/in pain...Mekstizzle wrote:

We live in LA, in an apartment building, so just outside the building is a major street. My grandmother was walking him, and about 5 feet away from the door leading into the apartment complex, he broke away from her hands. My grandmother while 63 is very active and isnt as old as her age in physical terms.
He ran into the street, but then came back to her, then got spooked and ran back into the street, only to get hit by 2 cars...not 1 car, but 2 cars....the bastard drivers didnt even stop. A guy in the street ran out and stopped all he cars, picked him up and layed him on the grass. I then went outside to find a 10 pound dog covered in blood.
I touched him and every bone in his body was broken. He was completely flat. I wrapped him in a bed sheet, and put him in a box...drove him to the vet and there gonna do what ever it is they do with animals that have died.

MY dog is a 10 pound Yorkie, barely even 7 months old. Never had a chance...

As a dog lover I feel for you bro. Sorry for your loss. Enjoy the memory of your dog, but move on. Their life span is shorter than ours and it teaches a whopper of a lesson.

God, I would HATE to see such a gory sight happen to my dog. I would also murder any fucker dumb enough to keep going if it ever happened. (Which he wouldn't, he got hit by a van but didn't injure him at all, he doesn't go anywhere near the street if he can help it.) Sorry about your dog.

That sucks , I suggest a Newfoundland for your next dog. I bought one last June & hes been a joy ever since, his pic is below.
If a Newfoundland is too big, get a Labrador. I've had mine for a few years now and when he's not running around us carrying a toy in his mouth, he's lying in the sun and having a good time. Also, he's extremely friendly to newcomers. That said, he's useless as a guard dog as I've only heard him bark four times when awake and about eight times when asleep. Over 5 years. Yeah, i also just had a tragic loss, my dog a cocker spaniel, that had all four birthplates broken when he was born, so he always has been as small as a puppy, and after 7 years, i decided what the hell, give him alittle wet dog food, come to find out, the fucken dog food i gave him, beef and gravy by Companion. Is on the list of dog/cat foods that gives the animals lung failure and kills them. My dog was acting strange about two weeks ago, not eating, couldnt make it up one stair, which he usually could fine, his eyes starting to get bloodshot. I let him sleep on it, not tihnking anything of it, the next day hes puking all over the place so i took him to the vet, come to find out i was one day to late.... He died later that day, of lung failure they believe. Only if i fucken brought him one day earlier i would still have the pet i loved.... Feels like shit, and this company is about to get a ruid awakening. Man, i know how you feel loosing something you love. Especially in my case, beacuse my dog would of actually had a chance if i fucken took it to the vet, the day before. I've never felt so bad in my life..
