Here goes. This is directed at all the people saying "l0mg 2142 is teh glitchy/buggy/haxx0rz-filled, wtf".

What evidence do you have? Oh wow, a hack video on teh intranets?!!?1/1!?1!?!11 Who would've thought? So how many people have you seen actually using hacks? And this doesn't include going "zomg he killed hme, he haxx" (which I've had said to me once already. apparently I shot through an invisible wall.) This means PB screenshots or other unrefutable evidence, such as someone mowing down the entire enemy team as soon as they spawn at any base with one shot each.
That's right. None.
Now, moving on to other evidence. "I played it for 10 minutes than returned it". Well, that's great for my argument that you pre-judged 2142, and it's also great for your argument that you hate it...but it's no evidence that it's a bad game. You can barely install and start the game in 10 minutes, much less:
-Find a decent server.
-Get an unlock, unless you're using the veterans program. Even then, the first-tier unlocks are, well, first-tier. (more on that in the next paragraph)
-Meet anyone you know.
-Judge the game.
Ok, enough on that to recieve around three or so pages of flaming from uber-1337 BF2 haxX0rZ, I suppose. On to...unlocks. I've heard two kinds of complaining so far.
-"Unlocks suck"
-"Too many unlocks"
"Unlocks suck". Right, so you played this game for the aforementioned 10 minutes and got 0 or 1. Shut the fuck up and get out of the 2142 section. NOW.
"Too many unlocks". This one confuses me. A lot. People in BF2, after ranking up 7 times, were complaining about "too few unlocks". Now the same people are going "too many unlocks". Uh, sure. Why doesn't EA just listen to you, because you know best about everything and the perfect number of unlocks?
...Because EA and DICE aren't a bunch of total morons. That's why, kthx.
On to the in-game ads. Play the game for fun. Don't play the game to look at ads then complain here, especially when the ads aren't even up yet. Your 1337 PS skills do not convince me - because the ads aren't out. [overused-but-fitting]Fail.[/overused-but-fitting]
New topic. Master server disconnects and PB. Erm, they just about fixed this with 1.01 and a recent server-side update. So, too bad you played it for 10 minutes and returned it. As for PB, PB is separate from EA and DICE, and I have no idea what they're doing. But from what I've heard it's mostly fixed anyway.
"2142 is a mod of BF2": Addressed in my other topic. Go find it if you really want to know about that. Yes, they used a modified engine. (yes, it's slightly modified, especially in layout. go look in the game files and be informed for once.)
To conclude: If you don't like BF2142, don't play it. And don't spam the 2142 section with posts saying "l0mg 2142 is t3h fag, boycot ea!!!!11!1!1!1oneoneeleventeen". You have the right to free speech. I have the right to tell you to shut the fuck up. Read my post on double standards in the BF2 - General Feedback section if you for some reason tend to think you're superior to everybody else.
