Further more you say that having unlocks will mean that the attacking side will lack the ability to progress, again you are mistaken. If you are referring to titans that a decent team of coordinated people can surmount any defence, however key to this is the use of unlocks (defibs/AR rockets/nades). All it would come down to is having 2/3 support soldiers firing away at a corridor, without unlocks attacking a console would become a institution of slaughter and people would give up and go cap silos.
For conquest unlocks present even more equality, again the clever use of AR rockets/smoke nades/mines/ nades can ensure that your squad can move effectively, where as other unlocks can allow the enemy to seal off areas unless the opposing unlocks are in use by you or a member of your team. Essentially unlocks allow this game to be more than just rock-paper-scissors, it becomes rock-paper-scissors-water-rock crusher-rust-extreme heat-etc-etc and as such becomes far more than just

It becomes a tactical battle to know what your enemy is using and having a squad outfitted to counter your enemy.
Smart players will appreciate unlocks, the people that believe that their u|oR 1337 reactions will save them each time will dislike having them as they force you to think.
