I think jihad jeeping/choppering are the easiest way to get the basic badge.

Unfortunately till now it didn´t work for my veteran badge ^^

Else placing claymores next to commander toys is a nice way to annoy SpecOps but after two three rounds they either throw grenades or just don´t keep coming anymore.

Sorry, back on topic erm... Easily mixing claymores & C4. Just place Claymores all over hostile territory near spawns etc & watch those explosives kills come rolling inm if you have a friend to keep resupplying you as well... The fun may never end

The map for this is definitly Strike at Karkand or Sharqi peninsula. The trick is to throw the c4 and be able to blow it up quickly. It is a bit tricky untill you learn but when you learn it the explosives badge is quite easy.
I do not want to explain the trick you will just have to learn the way i did, Die die and die again

Karkand finally worked for me, just keep placing C4 in the narrow alleys and wait for your victims (UAV overflight helps a lot) Shongua stalemate was not bad too but every time 1 or 2 kills to short.

I got my basic by the first try on sharqi - the house was a very good place to use c4

I got my vet for 2 days now so after all I try now my expert

So, I HATE Jihad Jeeping generally...but I tried it in an attempt to get my vet. What I learned is that if you die doing it, you're not paying attention or you got unlucky. I had a 2:1 ratio of kills to deaths. I let the vehicle coat to the target while I ran away...detonation didn't get me one time.

The biggest problem for me in getting my vet (still working on it) is resupply. I can't tell you how often I've run out of C4 trying...

I got mine by laying AT mines and getting lucky that I blew up 4 APCs with at least 3 people in them.  I think one was full.  I would say jihading probably works, but I hate suicides.  Also, C4'ing common routes and waiting should work too.

Well, if you want to step out of the Kirkand box try Wake Island, that's where I got my Vet Explosives. I would throw 2 C4 in the brush on the path between spawns and then hide off to the side and wait for a jeep or tank to pass then repeat. The key is to not throw the packs on the dirt where they are obvious. And this works best when one team is down to half the island where you know they will only be coming from one direction. It also helps if the enemy commander is a little off his game spotting you. Anyways don't write off Wake Island.

with the suicide car bombings... can you just go full speed ahead and ram into enemy vehicles? do you get the kill?

I've been trying on karkand, but keep coming 1 or 2 kills short. Although I swear I should have gotten it one round. I really gotta get it soon... the suicides are building up >_<

I have yet to get the Basic badge myself. I've tried many different ways but I always come up 1 or 2 kills short. Good Luck.
