Anyone know of any free programs (legal) that will convert audio files to MP3's? I have some I use but they are not free and I need to help someone get a free program that will do this. TIA.

Google it. I did, found loads, all free, just trials.

WinAmp does it too! WinAmp will aso burn CDs from Mp3s but it speed is reduced if you don't pay for the full version.
It's legal according to the DMCA to convert audio into MP3. As long as you're not distributing the files illegally. You are able to have a copy of media if you own an original source.

try CDex. i use it all the time and it works great. it's free to my knowledge. it converts files and rips cds.

Have you tried Audacity ..it allows you to open most audio types and export to most others and its free..
