BF2S Forums PS3 Vs 360: The price low down.

Funny thing is, I wouldn't exchange one of them for my PC any day (which despite my next statements would probobly romp all over any next gen console)

Still, rather than descend into the horrible constant argument between Sony and Micro$oft fan boys allow me just to say that buy whatever you want to buy, if you love a certain series buy the respective console. With that I should also say that I couldn't care about which console has more processing power and which console has a 5% more graphics power or .5% more ability to give a speck of dust just that little bit more flare, what I care about are great games.

The XBOX has GOW, which I hear great things about and will be playing as soon as my friend gets hold of it, the PS3 will have MGS4 which will be another great addition to my favourite game series of all time, unfortunately I can't justify paying for either of them.

So just go with what you want and stop quoting random facts about those tiny differences which matter so little it's insane.

Just a little info.

The basic PS3 with the 20gb HD will not be wireless capable.
The 60gb HD system is the only one that is wireless.

Just read this today and thought I would throw it out there so noone would be disappointed by this if they bought the 20gb system expecting wireless

I picked up Gears of War yesterday and so far so good.  My buddy and I played about 3 hours of Co-op to kick things off, and it didn't take too long to get used to.  Great graphics, smooth game play, and it's been fun fun fun.
I heard the campaign is short, but I guess that depends on whether or not you just run through everything.  Bender does the voice for Fenix, and hearing some of the generic comments (when you hit a perfect reload or find ammo, something like that) it's pretty funny.  And whatever the laser guided sat. gun is called...Hand of God or something, is very entertaining!

edit:  By Bender, I mean of course John DiMaggio, the voice of Futurama's Bender.

most of this thread was about price difference between ps3 and 360, just thought that i would let you know that game tried to sell all its 360s at £1000, with its stupid game bundles and the same goes for the ps3.

so it doesnt matter what sony sets its price at because most places will be making you pay more for bundles and shitty OWNBRAND stuff!

its more than just the hardware. ps3 has a lot more titles that i like than xbox ever did. gt series as well as square making all of the FF titles for sony.


but as others have said, the price of one component of a high end pc is the cost of the ps3. the onboard nvidia card (which is basically the 8800) more than justifies the console. you build a computer that has the specs of the ps3 for under $500? i highly doubt it.

But comparing Xbox's, PS3's and Wii's to a computer is basically irrelevent, computers are not classed under "console" entertainment.
Therefore, yeah, buy a Computer, but when It comes to a Console, its your own personal choice.
