Okay how many of you hate those attack helos that kill you so very easily while in a veichal?
Well this is what I do and it seems to work pretty well.

If you see the attack chopper heading for you, drive towards it ,blasting it as many of times as you can.
It'll get a couple of hits on you, but not as much as just sitting there or backing up with it. Now he'll will have to go out a little way turn around and come back at yaa.
Now with a tank or APC you can get a couple of  hits on it if your a good shot with them. Making it go retreat because of to much damage. Jump out and move on by foot. But atlease your alive able to still fight.
I have killed a few many attack helos this way.
Try this and let me know if it works for you as wel as it does me . . .

If you're in armor charge the chopper making the angle too great for him to attack.  Switch to the turret MG while he turns and lay into him.  You win more than you lose in this battle tactic.

Sure, get into your MG on the tank so I can shoot you out and steal it from you.

I think most pilot/gunner combos are getting smart enough that if they see a tank or APC, they'll hit it with the TV missle from a distance.  When I'm piloting, I rarely get any kills, I just try to position my gunner.

Yeap truth. No chances against a good gunner with  TV-guided. You cant even run away.

well.. if some one get chopper down with tank or jeep it's only fould of pilot, nothing else. And there's TV missile for tanks god dammit and you don't need even gunner to use that (much easier without)

Oh did you want that tank?

That could possibly be the stupidest thing I've read all day.

I thought it was very funny... look at the upside, no one will call him a 'chopper whore', just a 'TV whore'... he uses 'pilotless' helicopters, a new invention by EA

smoke sometimes helps with movement into another direction, preferably sideways to the choppers trajectory.

and i mainly shoot down attack choppers with the main tankgun and machinegun, i never thought about switching to the gunner position cause its to vunerable.

I usually move towards and 45 degrees to the side of the strafing helicopter.  This makes the attacking angle harder because you are moving towards the helicopter, and you are also adding another vector for the gunner to compensate for by moving laterally (sideways) away. Once it passes overhead I switch to the mounted MG to give some much needed ventilation for the gunner and pilot.

I find that the mounted MG on top of the tank chews up helicopters much faster than the main laser-like machine gun of the tank itself. Sure it's more vulnerable up top, but I would most likely be killed by the helicopter anyways
