Yep im going for the same badge, my thinking is that you need 30 kills because you get one titan attack score per kill.

sadly its not as easy attacking...... thanks guys
Also would attacking the tian guns count towards it?

You need a server with more or less balanced teams, so that either a majority of players stays on their titans defending or is busy silo-hopping. You need long-lasting rounds for the vet badge, so it'll be even worse for the expert one (I'm at 55 hours Titan mode right now, so I could not yet go for those badges).
Of course, you also need commanders that didn't sell their brains for cocaine and now try to make the titans have sex. Lag 
48 players might be too much. Go try 32 to 40 players, that's just enough to have people attacking, defending and silo-capping but not enough to steal all your points all the time. Less than 32 is not enough from my experience, there's either just barely anything going on on the titans or one titan is gone in less than 2 minutes after the shields went down because the defending team didn't defend.

I personally found the veteran ones not that hard to achieve. Especially for the attack one though, take my advice to have a good squadleader or at least the titans in pod range, so you can quickly get back into the action after you died.
