Helicopter Controls Joystick Issue

Right off: I can't assign my joystick's X-axis to the 'roll right/left' heli control. Nor to the 'steer' control. I get the 'duplicate found' message, but there actually isn't any duplicate for that. I could set it up properly in the 'airplane' screen, but the 'heli' screen doesn't want to accept my X-axis. The 'controls/helicopter' section just seems to be ignoring my joystick X-axis. Which means it's as good as not having a joystick when flying choppers. Any clue?

yeh, this same thing happened to me. 'duplicate found' where there wasn't any (I checked everywhere in case I had assigned accidentally). The only way I could fix it is by restoring defaults, clearing the keys I wanted to reassign + functions that had that key assigned to them, and try again. Basically: delete everything and start from scratch
the other thing was, sometime the joystick would assign, but then the axis' were inverted ingame...
I wish they would fix it so that it told you WHICH the duplicate key was, instead of that idiotically unhelpful message

If you E-Mail me, I could sent you my config, cause I use a joystick, too. But I hadn't any problems with the configuration!

its prob a blessing as iv found that joystick sux ass for flying the heli.

I like the keyboard and mouse for any transport chopper. However the attack chopper I find is just too fast for K+B. I think I am going to go back to the joystick for the Attack Chopper.

Well, in the end, I did reset everything to default and reassigned it all. It worked. Again, my thanks!
