Few questions about my comps 2142 compatibility + more

G'day,

At the moment, my comp specs are:

Intel pent 4 3.2ghz single core
1gig ram
ATI 9600 256mb.

Will my computer be able to run 2142 with reasonable FPS on low settings? Ive played the demo and was able to run around in the titan no problem when there was, about, 10-20 teammates in it.

Second question - is 2142 really worth getting? Is it fun? Is the infantry any good, like, are there inf type maps like karkand, mash (ie: not many vehicles)

Im running on all low with worse then you so you should be fine, as for maps, theres several like Kark/Mash, I personally like Fall of Berlin, and Camp Gibraltor, you'd have to play the maps yourself, in my opinion the games worth getting.

Yeah that should run on low just fine, if you can get the cash for a mid range graphics card upgrade then you could run a few things on medium to pretty it up a bit.

2142 is ok, don't expect a challenge though, it's not the most cerebral of games.

I'm running on worse than yours (a quarter-GB less RAM, 128MB less vid-card RAM, and a slower processor) and I run absolutely fine on all low and even with effects on medium. The only exception is on a moving Titan in which case everyone lags.

Edit: To your map question: Camp Gibraltar. The end.

Edit 2: I just got a karma for: "I pwned you on my server the other day, heres my apology". I played on the -=AN=- server, the Smurf Village server, and some clan server today whose members recognized the [BF2s] tags. Er...who was this?

Well silver, i have

1 gb of ram
6800 gs
AMD 3200+ 2.0 ghz.

And i can run on medium with a constant 50 FPS (other then on the titan when the dumbarse commanders make them buttsecks each other)

Theres a few infantry maps (*cough* camp gibrilator *cough*) are the best fun to play on. And the hit rego is near perfect.

it is VERY worth it.

edit: digged up a screeny of a round in in camp gibrilator. My score was done entirely as infantry none of this mech shit

Im running just about the same as you a P4 solo 3.4 ghz w/ 640mb ram and a 256 9550. On low settings the game does run good, just stay away from moving titans until the next patch.

Your karkand is ANY titan map, when the battle begins on them, unless your laggin like hell you will do extremely well in them. And theres no vehicle whores to 'pwn' u with there l33t skilz =/
