This is what I have unlocked so far:

1. FRG-1 Grenade
2. Sprintcor 20 Enhanced Endurance
3. Staminar 9 Recovery System
4. AED-6 Defibrillator
5. Advanced Med Hub
6. SG-34 Grenade (I think many people underestimate this. It is surprisingly useful when capping flags/silos).
7. Voss L-AR

I can't decide if it would be better to start getting squad leader upgrades, finish off the player upgrades (mainly for the extra grenade), or start down a new weapon tree.

I have some questions about the squad leader upgrades. First, as a squad leader, do you get points when squad members spawn on your SLSB? If so, do you alone get them or does the entire squad receive points? Second, does the RD-4 Otus always float right above your head, or does it actually go off on its own and spot things? Third, is the SD-8 Accipiter any good? I was thinking of unlocking the SD-8 Accipiter along with the support sentry gun to make myself a beast. And finally, do you have to have a certain number of players in your squad before you can use the unlocks?

The Accipiter apparently is rubbish, it won't fire at anything until you're dead. I'm not sure if you get points when Squad members spawn on the beacon, but there's an award which is given after a certain amount of beacon spawns IAR, (only to the Squad Leader.)

In regard to the trees, it depends what you like doing. I'm a Recon guy mostly and have both trees completed, (and find nothing wrong with any of the equipment or weapons in this tree including the Zeller,) and if you want to get into Reconnaissance than I suggest starting on the Lambert tree. Each to his own Fancy, you should know that by now and know that everyone here has a different opinion and will advise you differently.

Beacon.  If you do nothing else as a squad leader, get the beacon.  The drones are nifty and interesting, but aren't very useful at the moment.
Shit, i forgot about the Spawn Beacon, Ya Definetly get that next...

Then go up the Spec ops side of the Recon Kit.

Its good for Titan Assault..

You don't get any points for beacon spawns, but it's still a very useful tool to have as a squad leader.  The 2nd level squad leader unlock (recon drone) is ok, but has a rather limited radius.  It will always follow above your head.  The Accipiter is hit and miss.  I've gotten a few kills with it, but it only fires at targets that are marked AFAIK.  It also hovers just above your head.  The best thing about the drones is you can use them when your in vehicles.  Just deploy it and it will keep pace with you, Whether its lumbering walker or boosting Recon Vehicle, so you have a bit of an early warning against RDX rushes.

For the Squadleader unlocks, you need

1 additional person in your squad to use the SLSB
2 additional persons in your squad to use the Recon Drone
3 additional persons in your squad to use the Accipiter Attack Drone

Well, i DEFINATLY wouldn't go for the SQ leader or ability unlocks, you will find that unlocks get increasingly hard to get as your rank (well, thats what happened to me) so i suggest you either get the special ops recon tree or get the Pilum H-AVR (talk about tank ownige)

And the grenade upgrade must suck, i mean c'mon, an extra grenade? its not like anybody doesn't play support, ammo is widespread.

Actually it works quite well in Titan mode.  Since it floats above the little things that stick out in the doorways, it can attack enemies while you hide.  Since a lot of people aren't paying a whole lot of attention to it, you can get some KDA's or even Kills with it.  I've got about 18 kills with it.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Couple more questions...

I hear that the Pilum can 1-shot kill tanks and APCs. Is this true? Are there any threads that detail the weak spots on each vehicle? And how many motion mines does it take to kill each vehicle?

I'm thinking about unlocking the entire Pilum tree, then unlocking the other engineer tree up to the motion mines.

The Pilum has the same strength as the Missile Launchers, it's just there's no warning noise.  It will not one shot kill, unless you hit in the rear of a tank, or the vents of a walker.  I have no idea where the weak spot on the APC is.  The Pilum is a fine unlock for you if you frequent urban maps, but out in the open it's easier to use the Launchers.  As for motion mines, I can't be precise, but 2-3 mines seems to be fatal to a tank or apc, walkers i imagine take 5.

if you find yourself playing titan maps id go for the engineer tree just for the very vehicle based ground battles
actually engineer is the shit in this game..its my most played kit overall i like taking out tanks and the upgraded wrench thing is sweet because you can repair vehicles that are next to you while your in a vehicle

how about clark or the enforcer sentry gun?

Lol alot of questions.
The pilum can kill tanks in one shot but so can the standard rocktets. You shoot them in the back ofcourse. But for APCs you need 2 shots in the back. And for walkers 2 shots in the ass.
But the advantage of Pilum is that the they dont get any warning signal when you aim and fire. Its very usefull since they cant deploy the shield. IT also travels 5 times faster than rockets and it doesnt glow, atleast not with my video configuration. The rockets you can see comming but not the pilum bullet. But its not manouverable.

It takes 2 motion mines for tanks and APCs and 3 for walkers. Altho it seems that it makes a difference where they hit (front, side, back).

SL beacon is a must have item if are going to be a SL. ITs just too usefull not to have it. The RD4Otus does not have to see enemies to detect them. It will detect them behind buildings, trees etc. Its also very usefull.
And you can place a spawn beacon and when you die switch to Otus Drone and respawn. The beacon will stay there untill its destroyed.
The 3th unlock is mostly crap. Altho you can use it to get on high, normaly unaccsesible building, or board the titan

pilum can also be useful in killing titan guns, consoles and cores - no splash damage

After roughly 75 hours played I've NEVER been killed by an accipator. It seems to mainly act like a nice 'squad leader here` indicator. It's shot at me once, I simply killed the owner then killed it.

Engineer is definately the way forward in Titan mode.

Ok, I now have 2 unspent unlocks and need more feedback. I currently have:

AED-6 Defibrillator
Advanced Med Hub
SG-34 Grenade
Voss L-AR

V5 EMP Grenade
NetBat Active Camo ID
A-12 Enforcer Sentry Gun

FRG-1 Grenade
Sprintcor 20 Enhanced Endurance
Staminar 9 Recovery System

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should get the following:

-Full Lambert tree + APM
-Full Clark tree
-Clark tree just for the adv. ammo hub and then start another tree.
