How much money do you currently have to upgrade with?

Depends what you want, if you want it to play games and you don't care much for graphic quality, then GeForce has the 6600 and below, or the 7600 and below, and from ATI you can get the X1300, X1400 or X1600. I currently run the X1400 Mobility and that allows me to play BF2 with great FPS except I can't switch graphics to high nor run any anti-aliasing.

However if you want to turn everything up to high, you need to make sure you get either X1800 or X1900 from ATI or 7800 or 7900 from GeForce. If you have alot of money to burn, get two of them and put them in to run together, that will give you a huge graphics advantage. You need to make sure however that your computer CPU, motherboard and RAM are all capable of running such high end graphics software, otherwise the graphic cards are useless.

The X1950PRO is better than the X1900XT in terms of lower heat production and lower power consumption (but both cards are power hogs so there isn't much difference there ) However, the X1900XT is a faster card. The entire X1950 series replaces the X1900 series in terms of higher memory performance and overall performance, but the X1950PRO is too overpriced and overrated. The X1900XT is the better choice in this case, but a X1950XT would be better.
