Ok so I can't play online because this..... I install bf2142 and then I see the patch notification so I click it and it leads me to this website....http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf/. I click the patch 1.01 and install it. It won't let me play on online servers? Am I missing something or doing something wrong? P.S. KARMA FOR HELP!!!

you need to quit bf2142 before u install the patch. this was the problem i had. it doesnt automatically quits the game (when following the popup message in the game) and patching doesnt works when the game runs. so it never get updated and u still have the old version. u might have the reinstall the whole game again before u can patch it now. thats a bug that can happen when u patched while the game runs. thats atleast what the newsticker in the game says.

Also, make sure you reboot after you install. Alot of people were having this problem early on. It appears the patch worked, but when you go to the server list, nothing shows up. If you reboot, it works fine.
