- Look how slow the propeller is moving when this helicopter lands.
Okay then...
ok...
fake, or serverlag, possible speedhack
or just some skills in the heli;)

It's slow, but normally wouldn't be that slow. It's approaching into the wind - look at the waves. It's rotors by the way
maybe it's moving fast but the framerate of the camera can only show so much.
kinda like when you look at a car wheel and when it reaches a certain speed, looks like it starts turning backwards.

haxs
Nah, it wouldn't cast a shadow if it was that. Just fat ass rotors that don't need to spin all that fast.spawnofthemist wrote:

Yea, agree. It would have crashed if they rotated that slow. Just watched some crap on TV, the worlds most amazing videos, and some helo crashed for less. Can't explain it otherwise.spawnofthemist wrote:

I love that.spawnofthemist wrote:

I thought you were gonna put a video of the BF2 blackhawk blades and how the animation is actually moving slow. Anyway, interesting video.
Possibilities:
1. noob pilot
2. 1337 pilot. Weird, eh?
3. Really fast winds
4. Outta gas
5. Maybe BH rotors don't need to move that fast? Never seen any vids or anything
6. It broked
That's all I can think of.

shadows appear at the spead of light, same as the rotors themselves. I loled at the thought of having no shadow if you move fast enough._-_911_-_180891 wrote:

Someone get ROE on his ass...

The best way to know if it is normal is to compare it to other clips.
It is just a slow frame rate on the camera. Cool effect though!
yes it's an effect of the camera's shutter (not necessarily a slow framerate), the shutter snaps open about 23 times a second for standard hollywood movies, a little different for digital video and all. but basically it's just taking 23 stillshots, all movement that occurs when the shutter is closed isn't seen. if they sped the rotors up or slowed them down you would eventually end up with the backwards rotation pessimist referred to often seen in car commercials, this can also be seen if you video tape your monitor, and change the refresh rate, it will appear to strobe up and down, sometimes you can even see the laser as it refreshes the screen.
an optical illusion

Good call, they are definitely spinning full speed... I guess they modeled BF2's Blackhawk rotors accurately animation wise.dubbs wrote:
