has anyone figured out how to create or download a back-up of BF2SF so it can be burned to a disk for safe keeping?

haha u want to download bf2:sf instead of buying it, haha nice try dude.
[Addendum] After more closely reading the original question I wanted to revise - I'm sure this response is still valid since BF2:SF uses the original BF2 CD as it's physicial authentication. [End Edit]
Heres your best bet - use Game Jackal (www.gamejackal.com). It will emulate the CD/DVD image so you can play without having the original in the drive (so far, 100% success rate - been using it for many moons now). This allows you to keep the original in it's box somewhere safe.
Personally, I keep my original at home and run the game jackal NO-CD option at the office. Punkbuster doesn't interfere and there are little or no memory issues.
Note: If you are planning on using the 'want to save my originals' excuse just so your buddy can play at the same time - realize that the game is serialized - if your CD Key shows up twice on ranked servers, expect to be shut down (I'm only guessing here, I've never done it)
Disclaimer: I have NOT run game-jackal on the new version SF/patch 1.12

No, I downloaded it from EA already, but I would feel better if there was a way to download it again or whatever to make a back up of my ALREADY authenticated version... For clarification there shaunboulton...
Im sure he is just like myself, and purchased it from ea online, and you can only download it no hard copy for safe keeping. EA will most likely not allow you to do it since the info is stored on the downloader server and you can dl it any time you need to.
I submitted the question to EA. We'll see what comes of it.
