What does CTD stand for?

EA claims there is a conflict with Nvidia current driver's, well my game was stable prior to the patch with out of date Nvidia drivers and now it crashes at the end of titan mode. Guess I won't be updating to the current drivers as that is the cause of my game crashing yikes

At least you guys can play. I was fine and now that I've updated the patch I can load a map but then get dumped back to the HUD telling me I'm running a modified version and to return my BF2142 back to stock. I never touched sh+T.

i just patched to 1.05 today and i made it to the end of the round and just as our titan was beginning to explode it CTD. my friend was just joining at the time and he said the server pop dropped from 64 to 11 and he got banned for 2 minutes for apparently having a duplicate cd key. thats what the punk buster message said and i know he bought the game so that's quite strange. hopefully the points went in :s and more importantly they fix this issue soon.

reinstall the patch and it should work.

I did a reboot and it works now, but I played one Titan round and as soon as the Titan finished blowing up at the end I was crashed to the desktop. I have an ATI Radeon.

It's supposed to be a conflict with some shader attribute. An attrubute shared between ATI and Nvidia. Both cards will crash. Try an older version of your cards driver.

My thoughts exactly, they can't of tested it AT ALL, because if they had they would have slightly noticed the CTD issue.

And i read somewhere that DICE have created a new "Live Team" thats suppoz to make things great and patching issues better than ever!.......*cough* BULLSHIT *cough*

I DONT PLAY TITAN... pretty simple... i survived for 2 years with conquest on BF2 i can take alitle more b4 the fix titan.... lolz.. and the patch worked for me.. i have only been disconected once with it... i usualy get disconected at least every half hour... not any more. so i am happy... exept for the change on AH rifles.. and on the CTD.. wait a second i guess i am NOT happy... dang i hate trying to be positive...

My machine is ATI too, so it doesn't matter what graphics card u have, your shafted either way.

I running at 6 month old Nvidia driver's and the game was stable prior to the 1.05 patch. Now CTD after titan destruction. I downloaded the current Nvidia driver's but have not installed them. The driver's I am currently using were the ones that 3D Mark

i have only CDT once so far since the patch, in all about 6 hours play, i dont have the best specs
nvidia gforce 6600
2.0 mem
2.8 drive
pent 4
have my settings on medium and the lag HAS got a little better, not much but that may just be the servers i was on. shadows are on low, and anit is of,,, but it must be a little better as i was actually revived on the titan and didnt fall full thri it once
