2142 dvd rom help

i recieved 2142 as a gift today, and its a dvd, not a terrible thing for most ppl but i dont have a dvd rom.
the package is still sealed, is it possible that i can download it form ea downloader?
is there a way that anyone knows of to get around this issue?
and pls dont bother telling me to go buy a dvd rom because if i could do that right now i would have already

i mean i own the game, i have the packaging and all that crap.
is there a frikin fone number for EA support?

Course they will let u download it, but you will need to BUY the download right for that specific key. Sell the hard copy (dvd) and use the money to pay for your download, it's what I would do.

I agree with Doc. Josh. A DVD-ROM would be a very good investment. Like VHS, CD-ROMs are starting to disappear.

No problem. But seriously, why not just buy a DVD-Rom? Newegg has em for $20. Just plug it into the cables that went to your old drive.

and i plug them into that same cable that is coming from my router right?
do i have to put the plug on the inside of the machine or can i simply just tell it to work and it will?

because i was trying to plug it into the blue box that i use to connect to the internet.
i think it says linksis on it.
it has a plug that looks like a FONE cable sort of.
so where do i find this cable then?
is it on the inside of my computer?
i am not to sure i want to open the holding box for the computer because my brother told me that if it gets dirty , i would have to send it back to microsoft for a cleaning and that costs lots of money.

You'll have to open the case and install the DVD-ROM, but I'd have your 'brother' do it.
Who wants to put a money bet on his computer not being able to run BF2142 anyways? I got $10 says it will not play.

Make sure you soak your machine in the bathtub for at least 30 minutes after working on it to reduce the risk of it overheating once you have installed it.

Here`s what You need to do

1. Open the box with the DVD rom player
2. grab some ducktape
3. put it on the case
4. now prey
5. Fill the bathtub with Gasoline, and some oil, to make it go smooth
6. Put the PC in and make sure it`s filled till the top
7. Grab a siggaret of ur dad, light it, go out the bathroom
8. throw the siggie in.
9. BF2142 Must work now!

Plugs into usb, costs a little more but means you dont need to open PC
