How long does it take to actually start playing after the loading starts?

he might mean how long does it take you to load the level and verify client data then join the game
for bf2, 20 seconds at tops....
and for 2142, idk because it blows my nutsack and I never bought it:)

Still, load times depend a vast multitide of things.
These include the speed of your HDD (this is very important when you start the game)
The speed and amount of RAM you have (more important when you load a map change)
Speed of you're CPU
What graphics settings you are using
What programs you were using before you started up the game
What your computer had for breakfast
etc etc
Same for almost all games though, so I'll let you keep this in the junk draw section.
I agree with you BF2142 is just a mod and not the best... i won't buy it too !

Takes me perhaps 1 min or 2 after hitting join game. Only been like it since patch, then when I get in it takes me about 5 mins to be fully rid of lag. Only happened since patch.
