Anybody got the Air Defence Ribbon yet ?? If so can anybody give me some hints as I'm struggling to get it at the moment. I've tried assuming the command position and using orbital strikes while in Air defense as I seem to remember this working in BF2 but no luck! If anyone can suggest a map etc. it'll be greatly appreciated.
stay in the titan air guns, and if you can then position the titan right in front of the enmies titan. you can easily get 30+ kills doing that
Thanks for tip. Gave that a go tonight but only got up to about 7 kills. I'll keep trying though.
yeah there were a few rounds that i only got like 10, but some rounds they just keep taking off in the aircraft and you get lots of kills. just gotta keep trying over and over.
This is a very easy badge to get.
First, find a mech whore and jump in gunner.
Then, BLAST AWAY!
Each kill counts as an air defense kill since that is an air defense gun with anti-air missiles.
I got it real easy along with clear skies pin.
Hope this helps!

Not had any rounds quite that good in the titan AA guns, most people seem to cotton on the fact that they have to drop low coming out of the titan and approach yours from low down as well. It is a good place to try though, I got mine there. (took about 3 attempts) Make sure you're engineer so you can repair it if people blow it up too.Kamikaze17 wrote:

i got 38 IAR from the titan AA but that was in the old days, i tend to use the walkers now, but make sure you dont have a noob driver as they will keep getting you killed, try and join there squad so you can talk to them, other wise with the motion its easy to take them down but inpossible to finish them off...
find a walker and keep it to urself. take it behind an enemy base and change to 2nd seat. mash infy, move walker to next spot.
Nice, Will Give A Go.
yes but plz dont be a whore and do it every round, just do it until you get the AA awards, otherwise Ill hate youKamikaze17 wrote:

I have Vet. AA.
I have expert AA and the ribbon got them all on the titan AA. Primetime 8-11pm Est on an east coast based server playing 44-48 slot suez. Be engineer and never leave that seat unless its to repair your own gun. Also f6 f7 back and forth if the other gun is empty.

Thanks for all the great tips guys. Finally got around to having a good bash at it tonight and did it !! For anyone else who's having trouble, this is how I got it: Shuhia Taiba - Full Titan server, Sat in various ground AA emplacements shooting down incoming air transports (got about 6 kills with that), then went to titan AA as soon as the shields went down and got the remaining 9.
The only other Tip that no one gave me here (perhaps because it's a bit obvious) is that if a transport manages to land on your titan: quickly jump in a pod and land on the transport, destroying it, then drop down through the shield into the hanger and get back on the titan AA ready for the replacement.
Only 30 odd points for it though Dam it! thought it would be about 500!

I once got 45 kills in one round using titan air defence guns.
It was 4 free clear skies pins

Seccond seat in the walker is the best way to go. Try it on belgrade, gibraltar or tunis. Just make sure you can comunicate over VOIP with the driver, so he can stop when you see someone.
ps. Not you wamzip, congrats, but other people

Yea, if you are in one of the Titan maps where the two Titans are close to each otherKamikaze17 wrote:

stay on the AAA gun that points at the other Titan, and as soon as an aircraft leaves
pummel it till it blows up, just sit there for a few minutes doing that and you will
get it.
Its one of the sweet spots for making points.
Sweet!PBAsydney wrote:

Must been one hella of a noob team you meet there. It's common sense to not fly above the Titan or even close to it in a transport. IF they are next to each other don't bother with transport chopper.PBAsydney wrote:

Nice score thou.
Yeah, once the Titans are in AA gun range of each other it's much safer, easier and faster to just pod over so I didn't really have much luck when they right next to each other. The round I got my ribbon on they were pretty far apart.Zefar wrote:
