Well the one I have now is great but it's not exactly the overclocking champ I had hoped it would be
(Asus P5N32 Sli deluxe se). Actually when posting around the OC community sites everyone has come to the agreement that this board is a lemon. I definitely want the nvdia 680i chipset and I was leaning towards this board http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.h … VzaWFzdA== .
What do you guys think?

Edit :See sig for current specs

yummy

Edit: A bit more sensibly priced: http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3& … odelmenu=1

But looking at your sig that doesnt seem to be much of an issue!

Edit 2: Looking at it though i would probs go with the EVGA... great reviews and seems to have more features (plus 10 year warranty!) I think with the Asus you are paying for the LCD screen and the title "Best Gamers' Board")

This board can run my setup yes, but that's the extent of it. I have a bad habit of pushing my hardware even though it's smokin the way it is .
That first board appears to be limited to ddr2 800.
Look at the specs here on the one I'm looking at http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/image.htm … 8yX2wuZ2lm

The eVGA board is probably your best bet. Haven't seen anything to top it yet.

I think I might get it myself soon....       either that or the ASUS board =Karma-Kills= posted (since I spotted on the specs it has DTS connect - which I want!).

Oooooh looks nice. Maybe I'll have to get that too.....

3xSLI, wow nice. Kind of like that older Gigabyte board that could run 4 GPUs in SLI.

Been meaning to upgrade for a while, but haven't bothered with most of the system yet - I've got an 8800 on the way though (couldn't resist).

That, a 6600 and 2GB of DDR 800'll do me nicely I think. Might get a Coolermaster Stacker 830 too, just as an extra little treat.

Just an fyi the 8800 gtx runs pretty hot at stock. I usually hit around 58c at stock. Last night I unlocked the fps in 2142 and I was getting 170+ fps though.

Alas, I'm only getting a GTS, which I expect to run cooler due to the lower power consumption.

If you want extreme overclockability, go for DFI, ABit, or MSI.

Dont be confused with the old evga boards. Read the articles they have everywhere on this board(HardOCP,Toms, VRzone). this board was built for OC'ing.

I am very serious. That might actually be cheaper than buying it over here, but after import tax and probably shipping (I doubt the free shipping extends to the UK). Still, when I order things I like them to arrive the next day. I find it very frustrating waiting for deliveries and waiting for one from another continent might be more than I can take.

Good price though, I'll certainly consider it.

I think I'll wait till after Christmas too, it's an expensive time of year.
