Do dogtags make you use knife more often?

In my case Knifing in 2142 is much more fun. in BF2 I chose knife when i saw a sniper or someone else who is camping, but now I even attack people with the ninja-weapon in my hand. I think it's just about growing e-penor..

Good for you. Truth be told though, I really havent played BF2142 much to see how well a pistol does against a Knife wielding maniac. If you are support I suppose it would require a couple of strategic head shots to take someone down.

I can't really say as i haven't played 380 hours of 2142 to compare really,but i think i am on target.

The pistols just aren't as good as BF2 so not as easy to kill with them.

I kill with knife for badge purpose, but i do enjoy it!

i have 46 kills (a couples near vet knife badge)

One thing i've noticed though; those screaming bastard leave your silent kill at the door!

In BF2 i was able to kill 3 guys in a streak; now i kill one then the other 2 shoot the hell out at me.....not good....

Definitely. Yesterday I went on a knifing rampage and got at least 3 tags each round. I'm sure my clanmates were annoyed, as I yelled "DOGTAGS!" on TS every time I knifed someone.

I have tried more knifing but this hit detention sucks. I can run up on someone and I hear the slash sound but no kill then he turns and knifes me like 5 feet away

I've knifed way more people in 2142 than in bf2, considering the amount of time i've played it. In bf2, i've only gotten around 200 kills or less in the 380 hours played. In 2142, i've stolen 180 dogtags in the 57 hours i've played thus far. Knifing is just more satisfying! It's just too bad the stats don't track defib kills

Nah I don't really care for tags. I have like 60 something but I like to shoot knifers in the face then tea-bag em. They get soo pissed.

I sucked at knifing in BF2 but its easier to do it in 2142. Now, I just place c4 near the person and detonate it and watch them fly in the air.

After I got my thousand points for the gold, I stopped doing it unless someone pissed me off, or was just a totaly oblivious sniper. The hit detection at times in 2142 for knifes seems worse then in bf2, which I did not think was ever earthly possible. If I was prone behind someone in bf2, *occasionaly* i'd get the knife sound but no kill. 2nd shot, he's done. I've gone as far as 4-5-6 times and it not kill someone, when neither of us are moving.

Dogtags deffinetly help keep the K&P servers active... and EA themself proved you can even have a thousand double dog tags, and not get reset for suspected padding (noobish-noob). If I remember correctly, vegence's stats weren't even that stand-out-ish in bf2 when he got reset.

One thing's for sure; i knew the reqs for the knife badge from the start for BF2142

For BF2 i learned it after like 50 hours or so (was almost not playing knife at all - i learned!)

Yes	71%	71% - 148
Pretty much equal	16%	16% - 34
No	9%	9% - 20
I don't knife at all	1%	1% - 4
Total: 206
