This has probably been addressed in many posts before...but this is awesome story for the night. Just got banned off the -=AN=- server (permanently) for blowing up an admin who was raping the shit out of my team...and I had been there for a grand total of one minute. Yeah, Spawnofthemist, big surprise for the regular readers.
So it's Camp Gibraltar and spawn stole the PAC walker. I arrive to be the hero of the day, knife a guy, then flank the walker, and plant enough RDX to blow him backwards in time...serves the bastard right for stealing our stuff. I knew he was gonna ban the minute I did that (I've seen the way he abused the ban key on my other clan members) so I had screenshots...lol permaban? Do you think that will keep me away? I'd buy another copy of 2142 just to spite you again...and the other hundreds of admins I've pissed off because they can't handle the fact that they have no skill, and replace skill with insta-bans and various other abuse.
Of course, this isn't just the only thing I'm ranting about...this is a topic that's been bothering me for a long time: abusive admins galore in 2142; I've gotten banned for some pretty dumb reasons...why? Because EA doesn't give a shit. Because they cater to those with money who spend |top| (lol, another pun) dollar on their ranked servers. No one regulates this stuff...and unchecked power is dangerous. Simply put, this is just another sad example of abuse of powers; doesn't matter if it's the President of the United States, a Governor, an unruly cop who pulled you over for a bullshit tail light, anything that can relate; absolute power corrupts absolutely.
So, what can legitimate players do against an abusive admin? Own their soul...it may not show when they ban you, but they're all twitchy-eyed and ranting and raving in their basement, cursing obscenely over the fact you beat them in their turf. Enough people do it, and these admins with either A) stop playing the game entirely, or B) have a seizure and hopefully die...because if they're assholes online, they're probably genuine assholes in real-life
Aight, that's my rant. I feel a lot better now (and had some laughs) and I have accomplished the one thing I love to do: piss off abusive admins due to skill alone...oh and spawn? if you read this, you got owned, plain and simple, and you're nothing than a massive piece of excrement rotting under the blistering hot sun. But it's cool, I don't HAVE to play on your server...there are tons of sunnier places to play online, compared to your frozen hell. Don't hate me too much for saying this, but you'll keep getting owned by other guys like me: good players with relatively good attitudes. Sooner or later you'll run out of people to ban...or save yourself the trouble and ban yourself.
