there is a reason that the SAS is considered one of the most elite regiments there is (yes, it is a regiment. actually 3, one of which is reserve), those guys are the elite. it's those guys that are brought in when a hostage situation requires the use of force. there isn't a unit in the world, i think, that can defeat the SAS.
If you watched the Ultimate Force with Ross Kemp it gives you a view of the special Air service and these guys have been shown on TV taking out Terroists on live TV back in the 70s in the iranian embassy in London and not one hostage died 0_0

4 Regiments, 3 of which are TA, 21/23/63 Sig. With 22 being the 'Full Time' Regt.

and its not like the SAS show full, comprehensive breakdowns of what they do either. all the vids you see are just a brief outline of all they go through. and from what you have seen, it's pretty heavy shit.
